Absolutely fantastic. A must try. Cant say enough about the wings pizza and drinks. Elweve been twice now and had the Do You Wanna, pule on pepperoni and the spicy pepperoni. All amazingly delicious. Total mouth-gasms. Everything was made with care and perfectly balanced with the flavours. If you dont go, well...your loss everyone wlses gain My new favorite place.
Hands down best pizza I’ve ever had. They know how to make pizza and are doing it extremely well. It is a must try. The atmosphere /vibe of this place is awesome. Do not let the location or aesthetic of the outside of the building fool you. Once inside, It feels like a Polynesian hideaway. The only suggestion I’d have would be to add a dessert to the menu (even just one) and add another type of appetizer. People with accessibility needs, you may want to consider their take out as an option. This is an older style building and there are steps to enter, the washrooms are downstairs in the basement and there are steps at different parts of the dining area. I highly recommend ordering at least two styles of pizza and taking any leftovers home. Reservations are available online through their website. They book out very quickly.
If you are looking for a unique place to enjoy a Detroit style pizza (pie) then you need to try MaiPai. As soon as you walk in through the front doors it’s like you have been transported to another world. It’s a small restaurant with a very unique atmosphere. You feel like you are on vacation somewhere. Don’t let the location and outside fool you. The pizzas are amazing with so much flavour. This is not your traditional pizza. If you never had Detroit style pizza then you need to try it. Thick, crispy and airy crust topped with lots of cheese and amazing different toppings. The pizzas are full of flavour! We had the secret pickle pizza and the “do you wanna” pizza and you will “wanna” come back for more. Can’t decide which one was better as they were both amazing. Will definitely be coming back to try the others. If there is a negative it will be that you need to book reservations way in advance. If you feel like pizza tonight then good luck getting in!
Extremely amazing experience. The food was a perfect Detroit style pizzas (Canadianized). The drinks were perfectly blended and even through to the last swallow. Mariroooooo was a great attentive server. The decor was amazing, well suited to their name. We'll definitely be back
Absolutely fantastic. Why would you not get the secret pickle pizza?! How do you pass that up? And what a great choice that was. Secret pickle pizza actually rocks. Really good if you are on the fence about what a pickle pizza would be like, and aren't averse to pickles. The garlic, garlic, garlic, was amazing, as was the pepperoni pile on. Everything was so juicy and delicious. It's a tiki bar, so a little dark and noisy inside, but it was a great vibe, the staff were nice, did a great job, and seemed friendly. Can't recommend this place enough.
Kind of a secret, hidden gem! You'd never guess from the inside you're in Hamilton! The place perfectly captures the vibes of a tiki bar! Space is small and cozy so if you're not a fan of no natural light, this might not be your stop! It's worth it for the pizza though! Really really liked the garlic garlic garlic pizza! Such a unique flavour profile for it essentially being a pizza with garlic prepared three different ways as toppings. The drinks here are strong too! You are NOT getting a watered down mix here! Worth it just for the experience, but you'll likely walk away happy and full. Because the space is small, if you don't make a reservation well in advance for a table, you'll have to lineup for a seat at the bar.
What a great little place! Food was fantastic, atmosphere was awesome, service was spectacular!! Would highly recommend! We had the Soy Caramel Wings and they were so good, Pickle Nick Fries (delicious! maybe a bit salty but still good), and we had 4 different pizza which were Garlic Garlic Garlic, Garden, Chicken Bacon Ranch and Pepperoni Pile On! All were delicious (Pepperoni Pile On and Garden were our favorites)! Don't wait - make a reservation!
Cutest, intriguing little place. Definitely will have to make reservations in advance specially for a weekend. The pizza is filling and rich and Definitely need to try. I am not a fan of spuve but the honey wings and the dry rub ones were fabulous. I will definitely order next time as well. Alcoholic Drinks are great! Vibe is fun. Atmosphere is great for a group and friends and very enjoyable.
